how small do they make life jackets? he's almost 6 months, so it's high time he get out on the water. but we need him to float in case of emergency.

They make them...but are not certified or required for people under 20 lbs (I think that's right). We've used one of these for both of our kids and I'd highly recommend it...

x2 I have one for my 5 month old and my brother has also used them for his kids. They are way more comfortable for kids than standard jackets. I think the only reason they aren't TC certified is because there is no standard for that size.
