that is a hull extension, not a pod and gives alot of lift at the back because it does not graduate up like a pod.

I would still call that a pod. A hull extension to me is the full width of the hull. But you are correct in the fact that it does follow the bottom of the hull. The trick to a good pod is to get the right flotation, to little and you are butt heavy or To much and you are porpoising.
