Done business with Anglers Center many times Yes they are legitimate and have a bricks 'n mortar storefront in San Diego-they will also ship via USPS which is important for Canadian customers.

I've heard of the other one and since they have a physical storefront and take credit cards & Paypal both I'd say they are legit.

Usually found that shipping via US Postal Service cheaper then through UPS.

I think that's what Dogbreath was saying.

USPS does not charge brokerage fees but UPS does. They don't tell you until you get a charge for brokerage fees. It is a deal breaker for me if someone demands that they use UPS for shipping. I've been burnt by them in the past. I don't know if they have changed but I won't personally find out as I won't use them.

My 2 cents

I agree Oly1-I won't order to Canada with UPS- Told a hotel in Eugene to Mail my glasses which I left-they sent them UPS -58 us dollars

Yes.....and be sure you clarify by saying "United States Postal Service" and not "USPS".

Had a buddy place an order for some gear and I got in as I just needed one item but when he confirmed the shipping method he used the acronym and was dinged for a good deal of duty on the items.

Have personally NEVER had an issue with anything coming USPS.

You can phone UPS after they've charged you and tell them you want to "self declare" look it up on the web. I've done it and know others that have also. go to the airport in your area and pay the taxes yourself. you'll save alot over the UPS crooks. but easiest as mentioned, just insist that the item is shipped USPS first...

lots of different threads on the subject. here's a random one...
