Launch and Parking in Campbell River.

Wade, I would launch at Pacific Playgrounds. Much safer than any other place in CR plus its a shorter run to Savary. The only thing to watch for is low tide, you can't launch your yacht on a low tide, you'll need at least a 6ft tide. Salmon point would work, but the launch is very steep.

Can't help with launch spots out of Campbell but I used to fish out of Lund quite a bit. Stored the trailer and truck at the hotel and have a shred of a clue about some fishing spots (just a shred; other guys will chime in, I'm sure)
Springs--- Hurtado Pt (just south of Lund) also called the "Iron Mine" --- huge catcher's mitt for bait along the rock bluff---some big springs come out of there---quick hit spot from Savary
Also, Sarah Point (entrance to Desolation Sound)--also a quick hitter from either Lund or Savary---I had good success there for springs, especially on a PM flood
There's also Sutil Channel (west of Cortes) --lots of "character" spring spots, especially near Penn Islands
there's also a sexy reef south of Savary (between Savary and Powell R.) I forgot what the reef is called but it can be productive---very obvious on a chart---watch your depth on a low tide!
I caught piles of lings everywhere (Thulin Passage and Bliss Landing stand out)
If you want to burn gas, the guides go way into Toba Inlet for springs
I heard a lot of Lund guys talk about the "good old days" ---some guys even told me I was wasting my time; the springs were long gone. I took that with a big grain of salt; caught enough springs and lings to be happy.
You'll have a blast---it's gorgeous country. If you have kids, go into Tenedos Bay inside Desolation Sound and hike up to Unwin Lake and take them swimming, or Roscoe Bay (nice lake there too)

Discovery Harbour has a good ramp run by the FN's. I left my truck there for a few days with no issues.

Some good advice from sharphooks, That reef your talking about is probably mystery reef the winning fish from the local derby this past weekend came from there. Depending what part of Savary you are staying on I would run to Grants Reef and fish the can bouy I had a buddy hammer 4 spring's there yestesday. It's on the south side of Savary towards Courtenay, it's prettty close if your staying around Indian Point. If you go that way watch your GPS someone hits the reef every year loads of rocks around the south side of Savary.
Iron mines is close and produces fish from time to time its a great spot close to Lund/Savary and you can reload on fuel and beer. Careful there is a RCA just south of dinner rock.
I just got back from a week on Savary the place is amazing and it's an easy day trip to play around in desolation sound lots to see and do.

Thanks crew' great advise. Discovery Harbour sounds like my best bet, few people have told me about it. Brining my 25 Grady so don't want to be worried about tides and things putting in or taking out.
Thanks for the fishing tips, looking forward to dropping a line, weather looks good for the weekend so should be good to go. Are any of these spots tides dependent? I mean un-fishable on a tide or fish better on ebb virsus flood? What kind of gear should I bring? We are nailing them on anchovies up here right now but I have lots of hoochies, plugs and spoons.

All the areas around Lund/Savary are fishable on any tide. The fishing seems to be the same on either ebb or flood. We use anchovies a little but they don't seem to out fish lures. We use Hoochies, plugs, spoons and now a lot of guys are using coho killer's and have been doing well along with 3.5 spoon smaller bait.
