Last day whitetail

Well, managed to fill my tag this morning. Was my last hour sitting for the season, had to pick up kids from school so evening hunt was a no go. Wasn’t the one I’ve been chasing for the last two years but was one of the top 3 on camera. 39 yard shot, he only made it 30 yards.

This is the pic of the one I’ve been chasing for two years. He’s smaller this year than last but he grew a neat kicker hook off his right beam. Feel like I’ve got a connection with him after the # of cat and mouse games we’ve played over last two seasons. Saw him at 80 yards a couple weeks ago but that was as close as he came.


This is the largest one I had on camera this year. Missed him by a couple minutes on a few sits last month. Or chose to sit in different location because of an iffy wind, and he ended up passing by that evening.

Note…camera is about 1 1/2 hours ahead in November pic. So real time he cruised thru was just before 1PM. I got there at 1:05 that day. ‍(Facepalm)

The second buck looks like he's young his chest isn't very deep and has a short nose. Probably going to be a stud next season.
