Lake Char (aka Lakers or Lake Trout)

Read on the Ramblin Fisherman that he caught a 6 pound Laker on Great Central Lake. I was not aware there were Lakers there. Any other systems with Lakers on VI? Could it be he mistook it for a brookie, bull or dolly, all close relatives within the Char familia?

No lake trout there. THere are westslope cutties and coastal cutties along with Dolleys.

Obvious case of mis-identification. As noted, there are two strains of cutties present, lake rainbows and steelhead, dollies and sockeye present in GCL. Makes ya wonder what he actually did catch...
