lack of fish in sidney

does anyone have any ideas why this area i call"the dead sea" has such a shortage of quality fish? i have had reasonable result everywhere but here...cheers!

i've talked to a few guys who have done very well there this year better than average they say.Sidney is a tuff spot to fish but once you figure it out they come much easier.Good luck.

i wish i could fiqure out their methods ! mine are simply not producing enough to warrant the time? effort

I don't think i would say it was a good year by any means but it has been a little better than previous years. You just had to put in the time and in some cases you just had to be at the right place at the right time as there were not a lot of fish around.Saanichton spit produced some nice fish up to 25 lbs and the same goes for sidney spit,coal island and pender bluffs....among other areas.

t.winds, is there typicaly a coho run that will pass through with any regularity? i work at a boatyard out here in sidney and it is easy to scoot out after /before work...i recall hearing something in regards to an area off the reserve...cheers!
