KoneZone Daisy Chain Flasher.....

I tried running a Delta inline as you described Jeffy.....rigged just like a normal flasher......

I had ball bearing swivels up front and on the back.....I was running a spoon about 5ft back....but I ended up with unbelievable line-twist/birdsnest on the leader for some reason...

I was just thinking that it puts the spoon or whatever right behind the flasher as opposed to them being separate and farther apart.

Has anyone here ever tried running an inline rotating flasher like this?

Results?

Your thinking way to much lately..... :)
Your mainline would cause your chain to run up at an angle. You could spool your reel out but you wouldn't see any action on your rod unless a large fish tore it out of the clip. You'd likely spool out all of your line and still never have your chain running straight.

Why change a good thing?

Definitely think i am going to pick one up, is there a certain color or pattern you would recommed? Been doing quite well with my $9 copcar flasher from gibbs..i would like to try one of these kone flashers as a dummy flasher n run my anchovy above that. I am sure everyone can agree fishing without a flasher inline makes for a better fight and alot easier to land if fishing by yourself.

From what I'm reading seems to be either the Purple haze or the Chartreuse with cracked -ice tape on it for around here......

I picked one of those up three years ago and I've never hooked a fish when using it.

Surprised to see all the positive feedback. Mine is green with cracked ice. Not in a hurry to get another.

I've never used the Konezone yet.....but I have had good results running two delta's per side, rear blade 2 feet behind the front and the front one about 2 feet from the d/line....with the spoon about 5 feet above and sticking out about 2 feet farther than the end of the flashers.......

I have to admit, last year when fishing the bamfield wall in July, A standard purple-haze flasher with a purple haze chovy head was an absolute killer.. and im sure will be one of my go-to set-ups for bamfield-poet-nook area. be interesting to see if i can do as good or better running the anchovy with a purplehaze konezone hooked to the deepline.

I found the standard Kone Zone's drag on the DR cable to be excessive, much more than a rotating flasher.
Makes a difference expecially when trying to run deep.
Perhaps I'll have to try reducing the number of flashers on the KZ to reduce it.

50 bucks..wow are these kone flashers just for dummy flashers or can you hook them inline?. my guess is that would be tough, popping it out of the release.. still dangling 50 bucks off the end or just above my $4o dollar cannonball scares me..guess ya gotta pay to play..so to speak...
First off you need a better source for downrigger balls you're paying at least $15 too much.

Hooking them inline is overthinking things.

So is one of mine-proof it works off SE Bowen.

Also I've posted about this in the past but this has attracted a lot of attention so....try running a Herring in a regular teaser head 6' behind a single large Kone Zone-and use the off centre hole to attach the bait to the flasher it'll give it a killer twitch.

Note too that the smaller Kone Zones have two off centre holes haven't tried them much yet though.
Mike Hynman the owner of Kone Zone used to post here maybe looking up some of his old posts would be worthwhile.

DogB.....so you yourself are actually running one "inline"......

Use lots of swivels/bearings on that one blade?.......or is leaderline twist not an issue for you?

I switch out the bead chains for ball bearings no twist issues at all-bead chains suck in that regard but that's for another post.

Hate to beat a dead horse I picked one up at tyee marine 60 plus taxes makes it the most expensive piece of tackle I've ever bought its six feet long came with clip so I assume that's how far from the deep line it goes or are people extending it there is lots of optional holes on each flasher might take one out of mix.image.jpg

Looks almost like I set it up..... The spoon I'd go back a couple feet. And the gap between the flashers and the spoon is 6ft the length of the flashers. Keeps gear from tangling up.
