Knotting downrigger braid

I've got 4 boxes of 250lb/300 foot braid for downriggers can I knot two together or should I sell them and buy 400 feet. I sometimes have mine out further than 300 not sure if I should trust a knot or which knot to use.

I have done that.........I use a Double Uni-Knot.....then I melt the tag ends a tad with a Bic so they won't unravel and fray.

I have never had a knot failure doing this......

Double Uni Knot is the way to go.

I concur with the double uni knot; however I finish off the knots a little differently. I finish off each loose end by wrapping it with thin braid the same way an eye is wrapped on a rod. I then coat it with 5 min epoxy.

Double uni knot it is ill watch some video sorta looks like a fly fishing blood knot thanks.
