Knight Inlet resort burns.....

I noticed that some of the floats and buildings are a long ways apart from each other. The aerial footage on the news from the guy in the plane who spotted it shows all buidings fully engulfed at the same time. Seems a bit odd.

There lucky it happened at the end of the tourist season. I sure hope it was insured.;) eman

Pardon my facetiousness there r.s. I thought you where going to whack me on that one. I was scratching my head when I saw the flyover as well.;) eman

I will post up picts tomorrow, pretty amazing to see all three building go up at the same time, plus a small fire in the trees.

If it was financial combustion, pretty risky with 44 guests and staff on site..........

That place grossed 3 mil per year in eco tourism (using the gov built spawning channel as their main viewing area helps), so I guess they wanted more or a way to get out of the business if they did it intentionally (or maybe did not like their lodge.....)

I think it was also a fairly new lodge. I'm not suggesting a financial burn by owners. It may be more plausible that someone was getting rid of competition? The fire just looked odd so spread out with everything at the same stage of burning. But I'm not an expert.

I'm sure it will be looked at closely by fire investigator and insurance company. If it was fraud or arson, they will know. No sense in speculating about what happened....

financial combustion Good one!!!!! I have a friend from Brooklyn who calls it Jewish Lightening ( he is jewish LOL!!!)

But is is, of course, way too early to speculate. Hope everything turns out well in the end.

Those pics do show how far apart the various floats and buildings were.

Intentionally set? Please.

This is what happens when we've had no rain for months on end and there is no one there to fight the fire when things start to blaze. The buildings would have been infernos and any gas tanks (plus every boat), propane tanks for heating/stoves, etc. would have lit up too. Not too hard for the other buildings to light up even at a distance.

The proposition that the owner torched it, potentially facing millions and millions in a negligence lawsuit if anyone was hurt, is absurd.

It's also seems like risky business to make insinuations that it was intentionally set on a Public Forum.

Just saying.

Did I say intentionally set? I just said odd that all buildings were fully ablaze at the same time. I would be more worried about taking someone's words out of context on a public forum. I may be the one with a case. ;)
