Never have an issue at union unless its less than a 7 foot tide. And I have bunks.Union Bay might be fine if you have a rollers on your trailer. I couldn't get my Campion 542 off the bunks at high tide. I wouldn't even think about taking my Striper down there. It's too bad, because it's a great location with lots of parking. Too shallow, though.
Anyone fishing Kitty? Got a great report last night from a friend

Sorry for the side track of topics guys. I use union bay launch all the time. My truck never gets wet and have never used 4 wheel drive to get my boat out of the water. My boat is aluminum but is pretty heavy. I wouldn't be scared of this beach launch as there is lots of parking, cheap to use and you hardly never have to wait long to get in or out of the water.I can't imagine you're using the ramp with a 7 foot tide. Using the mud on the right is a bit risky unless you have a 4x4.
