That was my though as well, then hide the key out of the elements under the side if you can.

I like this as it keeps everything but the trim switch out of the elements and dry. Also would look very clean.

The controller that comes with it is a top mount style like the one in the attached photo.

I'm pretty sure I'll need to buy a side control like @ship happens posted for it to be a clean install.. I emailed skagit and they want 900usd for a rear helm console.

Not sure I completely understand your question regarding mounting location. Looking at where your rear helm is located, the Suzuki kicker binnacle will mount perfectly on the gunnel beside your helm.

splitting hairs - technically they are control boxes...I think he got the point. Several control options available, including the hidden side mount version which probably works best for his set up.

Thanks everyone, the seller came to me with a great price this morning because he needed the space in his garafe so I grabbed it this afternoon.

I'll probably end up sourcing a concealed side control and sell off the top mount one that it came with.
