Kicker size

Hey all,
Well I just purchased a 17ft calais with a 100 suzuki on it and am now shopping for a kicker. The dry weight of the boat is 1600 lbs. Iwas wondering what size kicker I should get.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Agreed 8 hp would be good, high thrust may not be required, as that is a fairly light boat.

one more thing is get a yamaha or honda kicker. there are so quite and very reliable motors
