Hey Guy's

I want to add remote throttle control to my Kicker motor next year.

I have looked at the trollmaster and itroll systems they seem to have mixed review. Anybody here try https://trollsmarter.com/

components and remotes look good.

It does looks good. Certainly not cheap but seems to combine the best things of both of the other brands. I personally like the trollmaster pro 3+ I think is what I have, no hunt mode, but the new remote looks great. I bought mine off eBay.

A member on here was looking to develop/sell one if you search.

I upgraded this year to the Trollmaster Pro Angler series and purchased a spare remote as well, for emergency backup purposes.

Overall a very simple wireless install and I'm finding that these new remotes don't eat batteries like other members have noted on the older units.

It doesn't have the hunt mode per se, but it does have 4 strike mode speed profile settings, that bumps up regular trolling speeds for a set duration of time, with the effect of hopefully triggering a strike.

I should add that these new Pro Angler remotes are compatible with the older Trollmaster wireless units...

I’m torn between running the wired version properly through the conduit already on my boat, which should be a really clean installation, or doing the easier way with the latest version of the wireless remote.

I’m just waiting till they offer the wireless version of the itroll. I’m on a wait list. Soon as that comes up, I’m jumping on it.
