I have an abundance of jigging lures, that need to be painted. Any suggestions on type of paint and where to buy the paint. These are buzz bombs, stingzildas, etc. Thanks.
It depends on what colors you want, equipment you have, expectations on longevity, your experience using airbrushes, how much effort you want to put into it, and how much money you want to spend.
For durability you can use powder paints but you'll need to use a low pressure powder paint airbrush. These paints are popular with those that like to paint their own spoons and come in all kinds of colors plus glows. The powder paints look terrific both on a white base or over a chrome spoon.
I got a pound of gloss white and a half pound each of several other colours from these guys. I just heated my jigs and dusted the paint on off a spoon or small paint
brush. Then reheat to cure. Then add some more colour(s) and cure again.
Bottom fish don't care if you have a fluid bed or an air brush.
They look good tuber. I just dunk mine in a gallon of white paint, then let drip dry on nails in shop then add hooks, I only use for bottom fish, never needed anything better as the kids snag lots. Few years ago got 500 non finished blanks all different sizes of the p-line mold, best buy I ever did.
