Darren Wright's name was picked for the MR-2 & Fenwick Rod donated by Island Outfitters & Islander Reels. He graciously offered the combo up for a quick auction with proceeds going to the Pink Salmon Festival. (he is also an organizor of the Festival) The winning bid was $850.00...great job by Rob Waters, think he could work the Barrett Jackson next season. I agreed`with Ward Bond and decided to donate $250.00 of the money to the Williams family fund. Thanks Darren & Island Outfitters, also Scotty for the downrigger donation.

 

[Broken Boat]

The JDF Derby, what can I say, great food, great prizes, great stories, and all for a couple of great causes this year. Boat problems forced me too hook up with a new person to fish with this year. And we all know what that can be like sometimes. Turnes out sometimes it can be great as well. Hooked up with (Highlites) on here. Man what a good time, Mark's a great fisherman and a funny guy, haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Got out early Sat and even earlier Sun, worked the water hard, looked everywhere either one of us could think of and only came up with one about 8lbs. 4 or 5 real good takes early Sat but nothing stuck, then picked up the 8, then a couple good ones Sun as well, but nothing in the boat. But had a great 2 days. If any of you guys get a chance to hook up with (Highlites) for a day take him up on it. The guys a real class act! Thanks Mark.
