ISLANDERS bearings

I started doing the big maintenance on my Islanders the other day. I waited to long into the off season to do the big one i guess. ! mr2 and a 3 wont come apart. There is no sign of rust and they are spotless. I have seen this happen to others before and I assume its the same, where the bearings seal themselves in with a bit of corrosion. SOOO, Is there some sort of tool/puller to separate the spool of the housing? And second question, does anyone know of some aftermarket SS bearings to put back in there.

You can make a bearing puller easy enough maybe someone on Alan Tani's site sells them http://alantani.com/

Or just replace the whole thing with new.

I would just send them into Islander, they will pull them and replace the bearings for cost of parts. I have mine serviced by them each year and they always do a great job at minimal cost.

Take them into River sportsman in Cr-the reel guy is very good and carries the bearings-wasn't very expensive and he did it while I waited.
