Yes Gold is classic but everyone has them.

Black is back baby.

Green would be really cool

Blue is cool too but not like the above.

Silver is alright.

Dont have paddle handles on my MR2, but I did get the larger MR3 round handles. Makes a lot of difference in the handling.

If I could afford 4 Islanders, I would buy 4 Trophy XL Tyee QR4.5's and a new piece of electronics for the new boat I also can't afford yet.
Yes, I've used both and the drag on the Tyee is every bit as impressive. The knobs on the ones I've used both blow. I prefer the paddles on my Shimano 4000.
But for the guides, as Kramer used to say, "it's a write-off". Go for the gold.
