Island highway hotel with boat parking

Looking for a hotel on or near Nanaimo Parksville near the island highway. Need space for a 30 foot boat on a trailer. Just one night on the way up island. Any suggestions??

We stayed at Painter's Lodge in Campbell River with my friend's boat. They have a lot for the boats to be unhitched and left for the night.

Thanks. Yes we have stayed there once without a boat. We are off the boat at 9pm. Like something s little closer to Nanaimo.

We second that vote. We travel every year to Nootka and find Painters the perfect spot with easy trailer access and ease of mind for security. Plus great rates and friendly staff and wonderful waterfront deck dining.

Why not just sleep in your boat in a parking lot

Pick your parking lot carefully and have an air horn handy.
Nanaimo has its share of crime.

Best Western in North Nanaimo has a lot of parking. Very close to the Parkway and right beside the Old Highway. Northgate Liquor Store right beside it as well. Worth a check.
