Hi all. I broke this transducer today in the River. Not even sure how … anyone recommend an epoxy that might fix this? I’m wondering if that would even work? Appreciate any advice.
Thx

I dunno I'm kinda with Alex a bit on this one. However that JB might not even be enough. You almost have to melt it back together throughout the whole part. It's definetly not a poly material or it wouldn't have snapped. I have no idea what the plastic is. If it's ABS or PVC it's possible you use plumbing type primer and glue? That stuff melts the 2 halves together basically if you use the right amount. Tough break on that one.

I bought a new one when I broke mine, but sloppily epoxied it and left it on for a spare. It broke again last summer after 5 years.
Might try the JB if I can get that messIMG_20250313_215710743_HDR.jpg off.

Or plastic welding works well! Just need a soldering iron and some correct filler rod. Works like a charm.

I think plastic welding something of that shape might be tough. I’ve experimented with both the solder iron and my welder.
I’m thinking glue/ epoxy and a couple wire stitches too.

Plastic is tough to do. You need a chemical bond. Or it's not happening. Can't waste your time trying to do that tiny stuff mechanically. It won't work

I replace it as well but with a thru hull one after countess ones like you have breaking or not working swithed over to a thru hull design I see the bottom at high speeds and works 100% better
