Ipod docking station

I'm looking for a portable battery powered Ipod docking station for the boat.
Needs to be compact.
Any suggestions as to products and where to buy ?

Hey Scott,

I've got one that works for iPad/iPhone/iPod. It's made by Pyle and I got it via Amazon.ca for $50. It plugs into 12V, will charge the device. It has both an FM transmitter to play tunes over an empty FM station and it also has an Aux port if you have one on your stereo as well.

Sounds great. If you use it with the Aux port, sound reproduction is perfect. If you use it with the FM transmitter, you can hear a bit of white noise when there is no song playing, but that seems to disappear when music is playing.

Only problem with that one from canadian tire above is the level of fm channels to select from. I have that one and it only works to about parksville when I travel down island (in my car at least) as there is a fair amount of frequency congestion between 88.1-88.7.

this one can select any frequency but its priced higher.

As with any cambodian tire product, if you wait between a week and two months any and all products go through a 50 percent off sale.
