Info on Namu and area

Looking for info on Namu. Is there fuel available there or someplace close as I am planning a camping trip that way from Bella Coola this summer and will be spending a few days in the area of Hakai Pass.

If you google namu bc. U can get some info. Looks like it is a derelict ghost town

pretty sure your closest options for fuel will be either shearwater/bella bella, or rivers inlet.

Nothing much happening in Namu, it's decaying and a mess.

For fuel you'll need to go to shearwater/bella Bella or to Duncanby in Rivers Inlet.

What Hambone said, with the addition of Dawson's Landing (fuel, grub, shower etc)

They are at the top side of Rivers, bit NE of Walbran Island. Duncanby is probably more convenient unless you're already deep into Rivers.

There is over night moorage there. We pulled in 2 years ago and there is an old Gal who runs the place. Go slow as she gave us **** for the wake!! An hour at cruise to Bella Bella.

Darby Channel is a beautiful section of water and makes the trip to Dawsons landing very enjoyable. You can go to Duncanby for fuel, but expect to pay a premium for it. I've seen as much as $0.30-$0.40 difference per liter when comparing Dawsons to Duncanby. fuel for thought...
