In Case You Have Too Much Money These Days-Help a Gal Out

Just when you thought you'd seen it all along comes someone else with their hand out-and Yes I am a cynic in cases like this

I want to be a fishing guide on the West Coast of Canada next summer! I will be the first female guide for the company I wish to work for, which I think is an awesome thing.

However, the tickets I need to get to be able to do this are very expensive, and as a full-time engineering student I will have trouble affording them. In order to be a guide, I need my SVOP (commercial boat operators card), a marine emergency course, and a marine radio operator course. All told, these courses are going to cost me approximately 6 days and $850. I am hoping to be able to take them over my Christmas Break this winter.

Please help me out! Every little bit counts!

I sent her 1000$ in return for a lifetime of free guided trips anywhere on the west coast...she promised all this.......who wants to be an engineer when you can spend time babysitting people who have no clue about fishing......lol.

Brutal. It's seems like more and more folks don't want to work for anything anymore. Once she becomes a guide, she probably wants the clients to drive the boat and clean it afterwards lol!!!

I agree.....some of these funding campaigns are really getting out of hand.

This gal should get herself a part time job as high tide's children are doing and as LOTS of us did while attending University or post-secondary schooling of some kind. Become a server or bartender in the right establishment working part time hours and sacrifice some time at Ferrer Point as it looks kind of like in her picture and she could make that coveted $850 in no time! Back in Uni I could make that VERY easily in 2 or 3 shifts just in tips!

I am going to start one so if it works out I can spend the full time at the Tuna shoutout should weather keep boats at the dock. One can drink a fair bit of beer while sitting around BS'ing and cursing the weather!? ;) SFBC....please "gofundme"!!!! :p

Perfect. A "tunafundmeintoanalcoholinfusedcoma" donation. ;) Is this tax deductible?

I know people.....will see what I can do. ;)

Was going to start big with the need for a Pursuit 385 Offshore....but going to gauge the response on "Round 1" to see if it's doable. :p
I say go BIG. If the world tells you to go pound sand, you can always claw back your expectations................................BTW if you get the Pursuit 385, I'll expect a commission of tuna trips.....................
