If you hunt, get out your cheque book

Thanks for the link Rockfish. Wow, I read the replies lol. One or two replying get it. The rest are out to lunch.

I don't mind paying it every 5 years. At least it generates money from the users. It doesn't blow 2 billion for nothing like the registry did.

This is a user fee that was in place in the past. They are just bringing it back. This is not a tax. It only effects gun owners. I paid it in the past and appreciated the waiver over the years by the Conservatives. I do not mind paying it again now.

I would not be surprised to see it suspended yet again a few months before the next election. Funny how that works.

So you think this goes into safety training or wildlife habitat; or general revenue since it is not a tax.

Notice the press bias. Not a picture of some father and son duck hunting or someone training for the Olympics but rather a display full of military type weapons and some guy with one on his hip - likely stock footage from a US gun show.

I'm not sure but will bet it goes into general revenue. It still beats the hell out of the epic fail called "the gun registry".

Kinda like fishing licenses. User pay. Where does that money go...........

Yeah I got a kick out of the photo as well. It's all politics. We will see those unrestricted sooner than later in this Country. There is no reason to have them restricted under the current rules. I would love to be able to build up a reloading sequence for a nice AR platform in .308 for anything on the Island. The barrel length configures, the magazine configures (if pinned) the only thing is they "look" scary lol.
