Lost the top cover off my Yamaha 9.9 kicker, south bound between Campbell River and Nanaimo, this morning (July 26th)
Long shot I know but maybe it can be retrieved.

Thanks for the chance.

This is what it looks like. May be somewhat different now.

OR maybe someone has one to sell????

call a couple of Yamaha dealers and see if they have 1 in their pile of used motors that are used for parts. What year is it?

If you don't find one sooner, try Shoprite in Port McNeill -- they have a pile of used motors and cowlings sitting around. I'll be going there in 2 weeks and could bring it south for you. Another member might even be there sooner.

Appreciate the replies fellas. The Motor is a 1992 model, (I know pretty old) but it runs like a top and I have customized it to have a remote throttle and steering. Just finished a week fishing off Port Hardy, and was headed home which is Calgary but I have friends in Comox.

The model number is T9.9 ELHQ

If you check my other post I was looking for a replacement part as well for the handle, I had welded it but would like to replace it properly.

I think it's the same one, bounced off the pavement a bit. Look at the OP pic and the one I posted. Both have a scratch in the same place just under the red line at the back corner, and another one just under the F in four stroke.
Yeah obviously it’s the same one.

WOW - Am I impressed I will call them asap
Thanks

Talk to a fella at the Petro Canada there and they do have it. They will set it aside until it can be picked up.
I checked to see exactly where that station is and it's more than 2-1/2hrs from Comox.

Would there be anyone willing to, (if they are going south from there) to get it to Comox?
Talked to our friends and asking them to do a 5 hour round trip for it is hard to do.

Any other suggestions, maybe someone, (like us) are coming to Calgary from their fishing trip up island??

It's a Petro Canada station the address is; 1001 Hyde Creek Rd, Port McNeill, BC

Thanks
Contact info for me, (Gord) is 403-860-8330

I will be in that area August 11 to 21 -- could bring it to Comox on the 20th if you haven't got a better offer.

I have to say you fellas on this forum are a great bunch.
One member suggested Ace Courier and I contacted them and for under $70 they will pick it up and courier it to my door in Calgary.
Thanks for all the support and offers to help.
I hope everyone is having a good fishing season. We did well enough by limiting out on our Salmon quota, 5 of which were Springs 12-20lbs. Bottom fish like halibut and ling are getting tougher to find in zone 12 for sure.

Good Luck
