Have you ever considered drying clothes outside on a clothes line?

We do, to a limited extent. Hang up most heavier items like jeans and work pants/coveralls etc, plus button up shirts and let them air dry in the laundry room. Adds a bit of humidity into our very dry air. 5 minutes in dryer to take out creases is all most of them get.

I know it does not apply to BC, but most of the people that are doing it in the US are seeing way faster paybacks as rates have gone up way more than predicted.

We are so very fortunate that past governments haven't privatised BC Hydro and continue to keep close watch on all of them via the Utilities Commission.
