i just got a hummingbird helix 7 MSI GPS G3N

Does it come with maps for Canada(BC coast) or do I have to by a Navionics card?

Very basic poor base maps definitely want to get yourself the navionics card.

Hummingbird is definitely geared more towards US fishing as you can go on their website and download maps for 1000’s of us lakes and waterways. Unfortunately they have 0 lakes or maps for Canadian waters. Navionics is your only choice. And if you have two units as I do it won’t link the map. You have to get a card for each unit. It will link your tracks, any highlights or spots you mark but for mapping you need a card for each unit.

There are definitely features I like about my Hummingbirds and now that I have them dialled in and all linked up I love them. But to be honest knowing what I know now about them in all honesty I’m not sure I would go with them again. To late now as I’m $8000 into the system lol.
