Hot Water Tank Question

Woke up to a cold shower and checked the hot water tank and the controller was flipped off. Do these flip themselves to off automatically for any reason or is my 3 year old just messing around with the buttons lol. I know she has in the past, but I didn’t think she was down there yesterday.

I’ll make a little acrylic guard for it if it’s just her playing with it

Mine is different, but a very strong wind down the vent shuts it off about once a year.

It wasn't just the pilot light out. The switch was toggled to "off". It doesn't seem like the controller can do that itself for any reason, so my daughter must be trying to sabotage my morning shower.
