Hot stock tips

Over those 15 years I’ve had a -28% year and years with over 30% gains. My investments cover a variety of over 30 different stocks. And with all this action and gains over the past few months they’ve elected to make very few changes.

The OB strategy has always been not to chase the stock market but to buy stocks from what they deem to be quality companies.

Who do you guys like to follow online in regards to investment advice or current market conditions? I’m not a Twitter guy and it sounds like Reddit is flooded with wannabes. I’m wanting to jump into the market with a few self directed bucks and would like to make my guesses at least somewhat educated.
I used to spend a lot of time at https://seekingalpha.com/ but they are getting more and more into paid subscriptions. I still like https://www.investopedia.com/ and read yahoo finance and marketwatch every day

I follow R/Investing on Reddit. They do good deep dives on companies, combine analyst ratings and summarize earnings. u/vitocorlene is regarded as a well informed Steel industry expert.

Right now, I'm into mineral extraction (Lithium, uranium, copper) and tech supply chain companies.

Edit: Also in weed stock, High Tide.

I watch BNN bloomberg market call for general market ideas. I don't put to much stock into their picks but its good for what market managers are thinking. I am also part of a group that meets monthly well used to, when people could actually get together.

Honestly I don't like to pick stocks im pretty bad at it I do way better with my ETFS. I've done okay stock picking but if you want a low fee set it and forget it ETF that track indices are the way to go.

My broker will only let me do limit orders so I put in for 7 or lower. Will see if it gets in

Damnit guys, you’re making me get up early tomorrow to get in on this SOS. ;) I don’t like placing orders when the market is closed.

For a nice 15% return check out DFN: Dividend 15 split Corp. Its a collection of dividend paying funds in one stock. They pay out monthly and it’s DRIP eligible. Div used to be around 11% pre covid when the stocks traded at 10/11ish now sits sub 8$. I’ve owned it now for a few years and I’ve done pretty well with it adding to my position early in Covid. I’m still down a couple bucks over all on stock price but way made up for that in the divs. Just do your DD as my brother thought it was too risky. Although he also told me not to buy Tesla when it was 225. Which I did not.
