I read that it could get move to the russell 2k index and so ETFs that track it are hedging and have been buying but still does not really explain it all.

I think that part that bothers me is it gives these rocket diamond hands people an unrealistic expectation of thing and gonna burn people hard down the road.

I am so on the fence with this one. On one hand, I love that they are making a mockery of the short-sellers, but yes some people likely will get a bit burned in the process.

I have a feeling short sellers will be much, much more careful going forward on how much of stock to short.

We are only a few months into the GME saga and a lot of highly questionable hedge fund tactics are being exposed. It will be interesting to see this situation play out.

I think they're currently the ones making the most out of this situation. By a long shot. All legal.

Yeah there are some large institutions making a ton off GME. I don't know about the legal part but there will likely be some reform re shorting stock and synthetic shares at some point.
