Hi guys, my friends caught these fish about 12 miles off Port Renfrew. He believed it's Horse Mackerels, which shouldn't exist in our water. Any ideas what they are?

A few years back my dad and I caught a bunch in renfrew as well. They are jack mackerel and ours were about that size too. When you get in the school it's one after another as I recall.
Pictures don't take themselves. Math works out for the west side of the island.
Guy's responding to your post and you give him a hard time. Don't get it.

No man. I wasn;t giving him a hard time at all. I like the fact that they got so many fish. I know the quota is a lot higher over there. Sorry if anyone thinks I wasn't being sarcastic.
They eat good, not be confused with the chub Mack’s we get in huge numbers inshore certain years . Can get pretty big, and fight twice as hard as any coho
sitting on the anchor for hali and casting for coho, the bait would boil up. cast over to it and we where pulling up one after the other.
bled gutted and on ice. the fillets are deliscus.
