Hootchies vs squirts

Since we have such a fine bunch of anglers on this forum I was wondering you all find works better for winter springs: the octopus style hootchies or the thinner squirt? People have told me because the fish are mainly feeding on candlefish on the sand bottoms, that the thinner green/white squirt is the better lure.
Also what leader lenghts do you find as the most productive?
Be interested in everyones replies.

Although i mostly use spoons for winter springs,
my experience has been that the hootchies outfish squirts
in the winter.
especially glow/green combinations

I would have to agree,I have had alot more luck with hootchies,versus squirts.
