Thought I would take the time to introduce myself. I have fished from here in Victoria to Ont. I love fishing and will put off anything possibly my own wedding to go fishing. I don't catch lots but they don't call it catching. I am here to learn about fishing better in both the salt and fresh water. I am into mostly fresh becasue it is easy and easy to get to.

Welcome.... I've picked up a lot in this forum as well. It's too bad that most of it doesn't apply to me since:

a) I fish from a cartopper
b) No longer have a working sounder
c) Had my downrigger stolen (along with all my gear) a few months ago
d) I fish saltwater on the Sunshine Coast and fishing really hasn't been "good" for 10 years! I still like to try though, and the fish I do hook into (and keep from the seals) mean a lot more...

I used to fish fresh as a diversion when I couldn't get to the salt, but I just can't get excited over 10 inch hatchery trout! haha [xx(]
