Still one of the best fisheries DFO manages and for the most part all have rebound quite well and continue to do so

So it starts again. . Engos are against the herring fishery increasing to 14 % even though the CSAS approved is 20%. .... the ecosystem system will collapse. Save the chinook and the herring even DS says so.

So done with this every year. It never ends.

The agenda is all about pressing for incremental measures or reductions to all fisheries (commercial and recreational) by a variety of means (fishing closures, restrictions, Marine Protected Areas, SARA listings etc). Ultimately these fisheries die the death of a thousand cuts and that is the end game. Slowly choke off the life, eliminate GDP and jobs...give all the unemployed a "living wage" so they can live out their dire days in misery with nothing productive to do except play on their phones or computers sipping starbucks.

didn't the 14% that its being raised to come from all the ENGO's on reports as the ecological sustainable harvest number? I recall them asking for that when it was at 20%

Yes, no amount of alcohol is solving the reality of what I sense is coming over the horizon....the fee simple problem pales in comparison when it comes to what is planned or desired for our fishery by other forces of Dr. Evil (and I'm not referring to DFO).
