I just got back from critter cove and I had a great time. We landed alot of nice coho and smaller chinooks under 10 lbs but we didnt get a chance at a big one. We fished for 4 days and there were 3 boat total in our group. We all used the same gear and the other 2 boats limited out on 20 plus pound springs and a few chinooks. I was thinking I have a voltage promblem with my boat that why I didnt catch any big springs. I will test it this weekend but how do I go about finding and fixing these power leaks? Where to look and test and fix? Also I'm guess I need to test the voltage of the rigger cable when I'm in the water with everything running as if I'm trolling. What voltage would be good or normal for a 21 foot trophy boat?

Thanks
JAC

Or get a black box and you can control the voltage that you are sending out to suit the species that you are targetting.

Hey JAC. I just did a quick overnight trip to Critter spent last night there. We lost 1 nice one off Bligh Island last night and had numerous shakers today and 1 smallish keeper that we released. No lunkers for us either. It can sure be frustrating when the cleaning table looks full of monster springs and you cannot touch one. The Americans I talked to when I got there were not doing that well either. I like to say that Nootka Chinook want to be spoon fed anchovy from a silver spoon. The radio chatter seemed to indicate a few fish were caught but nothing hot and heavy. Some of them bigger boats are heading offshore and doing well. Of all the boats around me last night and today, I did not see a single lunker get caught. I did avoid Camel Rock and the other busier places. My boat catches it's share of fish, it just was not in the cards this trip.
