Help me spend some money on my next boat

Well, right or wrong, I pulled the trigger this morning on the Grady White 246G Explorer. The surveyor could not find any signs of moisture in the transom, the stringers appeared to be fine also, but there is not as good of access to them. He checked everything else out structurally and there were no issues. The bulkheads all sounded fine and also checked out fine. He identified what appeared to be a minor repair done previously. All in all, it should be a pretty good blank canvas.

The trailer has some issues, with rust on some of the pieces and parts that hold things together. I will need get new springs, and other bits, but it looks like it will be OK. If I find out different, I will purchase a new trailer.

A condition I am waiting to hear back on is that the trim tabs did not get repaired by

Sea Trial went fine as it should. The main engine and the kicker both ran perfectly as they should. The main has 31 hours and still under warranty until October of 2029, and the kicker supposedly has less than 5 hours. The set up is that there is a Yamaha binnacle for twins and the main is on one side, and the Kicker on the other. I really like that set up.

It ran smooth and since it is a SeaV2 hull, it should handle what I need it to handle.

I will pick it up in a week or two, then the fun begins. I will be taking it apart and removing the tanks to see if they need to be replaced. I will also pull out any non tinned wire and start over with all wiring that is not Yamaha rigging that just went in. Once it is apart, it needs a serious cleaning to get rid of 34 years of grime and bilge crap.

This is the biggest project marine project I have taken on so I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew. Goal is to be fishable by June 1st.
