Help ID this hull

Anybody know approximate year for this hull?
Supposed to be a 17’ Hourston but no compliance plate or labels on it.

I was going to say Hourston clone (there were a bunch) but those gunnels look authentic-prime for a pod in any case!

yeah I’m not sure? I’m no under 20’ Hourston pro but I’m hoping the molded in seat bases are something someone can put a year/years on

Older boats don't have them. I know my hourston doesn't.

My Hourston is a 1977 and has a HIN number,

Just to be clear, I'm talking about the number they put in the mold when the the boat was made. Not the Transport Canada Compliance Notice that was added to boats roughly sometime in the 80's.

That is what I'm talking about as well. Mine is a 76 and it does not have a HIN.

Surprised yours has it as it wasn't maditory in Canada until 1982

I haven’t seen it in person but they’re telling me no #s or ID marks other than the license # on the bow.

I’ve had a few older boats and some had numbers, sometimes I the fiberglass but more often stamped into the aluminum of the rub rail at the back on the stbd side. Some have had nothing other than the compliance plate.

My 86 had molded in seat bases like that def looks to be a hourston

Would guess late 80s early 90s era. HIN should be on stb transom just under the rub rail.
