hello, my name is tony, I a from st.johns nfld. living in alberta right now. I am going to Victoria for a week, to check it out, as i have never been there, want to see the pacific. I will be arriving on monday morning the 22 of august and departing on saturday the 27. I was hoping to get the chance to go halibut fishing or salmon(prefer the halibut as i have never caught one, have caught lots of salmon both home and Ontario) while there, but seem to be having a hard time getting a shared charter. If anybody knows of anyone who does do shared charters, or if any one is going out themselves, It would be great to know. Would love the adventure, but can't justify $500 for a few hours fishing. Hope someone can help me out, one or two people would make the cost reasonable. Happy fishing everyone

Thanks for the reply, I too am hoping someone can point me in the right direction, more than likely moving there anyways, and when i do first thing i am gonna do is buy a boat. Have a good one......Tony

Hey Tony....there are a lot of guides in the Victoria area that post on this forum.

One thing you may want to do is start a thread titled "Looking for a shared charter in Victoria" and then mention the dates in it.

A "how you doing" thread may not get looked at by everyone on the site but you may get more of the guides taking a look at a post looking for a shared charter.

Hi Tony

As you've found, all the charters around here are by the boat not by the person. I know of a few people looking to get into a Port Renfrew charter in that time period. Maybe you can combine up to make it work? I will PM you some more info.
