HDS insite mapping

So I just picked up my gen 2 touch and noticed it is an insite model... Does anyone have any experience with the detail available from the stock inside charts? Are they any good or should i go ahead and get myself a navionics chip? I havent hooked it up to the boat yet (still in the box) but we normally fish the Vancouver area and ocasionally Sooke.

I have insight mapping on my HDS 8 gen2 - But, I also have navionics chip and a C-Map chip ( better for waaay offshore ) so I barely looked at the Insight detail. What I remember is that is primarily USA based info. It doesn't go very far north of the border before it ends - it may extend to you location in Sooke but I don't think it covers Vancouver / Georgia Str. very much

thanks for the info

Insight mapping records your sonar and displays it on there software on your PC. Then you merge your trips and load your sd card. It then displays that detailed chart on top of your navonics chart. I think you need the extra card

this is how it looks after you download. i removed the tracks and waypoints
