For the first time in several decades coho fishing on the Harrison River is being restricted to the lower few km of the river. The regulations recently published is for an opening below the Highway 7 Bridge, https://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/fresh-douce/region2-eng.html.
Two years ago the same opening was published but quickly reversed as a 'clerical' error when a few people with connections at DFO challenged the change.
I contacted the DFO Vancouver Office who referred me to the Langley Office. Their response was they are only responsible for enforcing the regulations.
Can anyone provide a current name or contact for DFO that can address what is up with this change?
Thanks
