I have been doing a bit or reading in regards to halibut migration and was just curious how much you alter your fishing depths during winter months if any? since they migrate outward or deeper during winter months?
I have heard a lot of guys on here catching halibut as a by-catch salmon fishing so this kind of tells me they are still somewhat shallow.
Some tagging found during winter months they will reach depths of 700-900 m. Pretty Deep!
