X2. we got two @ Sidney yesterday both packed full of prawns and little shrimp. One also had a rock the size of a walnut in its bellyThat wouldn't have felt good coming out. It was very smooth, maybe it had been there for a while.

So I say to the wife."Honey can I use the blender to grind up some herring for Halibut chum" She says " No but you can use my magic bullet" I say wow there Darlen what are we talking about here and should I go have a shower ? " She says " Ya don't get your hopes up there big guy" Then she tells me some friend had given her one of those mini smoothie blenders. "enter the" magic bullet"
Anyway I go get a bag of 13 herring from this years catch she hooks the thing up and for those wondering how to make a great fine particle type of chum. this thing worked awesome. Ground up a large margarine container in no time. the herring where just thawed enough to pull them apart. chopped em into fours and walla!! cleaned it up threw it in the dishwasher and done. Think it is key to keep them frozen as I believe it would juice a thawed herring pretty quick.
I plan to add some x-10 and mix it up fill a couple bait cups and hang em off the down rigger when we get set up.Have used the bait cup method with success before but I always wanted the chum to be mushier and flow a bit better. I am pretty sure this will be the ticket.
