Gyotaku fish art

Well I have seen this type of art in Hawaii when I used to windsurf there in my younger days but I have lost track of it in these later years. I always enjoyed looking at it and low and behold chipstealer had his son over for a visit. Guess what he does? From Finland to boot!!!

Anyways I bought a nice little print off of him and he signed it etc. etc.

Check out his site and blog and you can see chipstealer's nice spring from out front of Nanaimo that the two of them caught during his son's visit. It's done up on fabric and later framed. Cool stuff for sure.

Fish art is cool stuff in my books. Especially good fish art.

Yes, he seems to have the technique down, to an art I also enjoy the style.
I had a set of 3 Koi that I had picked up in the 70's from Ohau, one of the ex's ended up with them!
