Great little hook file trick

[Hookin'up]

I did this awhile ago and it works pretty great thought I'd share, give it a try
its not a very expensive maybe 6$ in total so no big loss if you dont like it
take 2 of the small round chainsaw files and tape them tightly together at both ends.
the vee joint in the middle becomes the hook file, a couple passes and hook is sticky sharp.

Great idea I missed 3 fish this afternoon/evening? All I could think of is dull hooks, even after what I think is a good sharpening. Im going to try this. Cheers

this works like a charm, you will find it really sharpens well in 1 direction vs the other
as long as both files are pointed the same direction that is
