Great day, last Monday.

I had an opportunity to share an amazing day on the water with my son. Our limit in prawns from set to pull in one hour and a half soak. Two shakers, one keeper Dungy, and one Keeper Rock crab. Next to fishing there is nothing in life, more that I enjoy as a pass time than this. For me work, rest and play is all FISHING related. Often struggling to maintain my lifestyle, but the rewards are generous in nature, for it offers me the greatest peace. It is especially awesome that I can share moments like these with the ones I love. Great day.

I think the title of this thread could have been - what does fishing mean to you? Love your post, it captures the essence of why I fish. Strong connection to places I love and care deeply about, opportunities for sharing those experiences with friends and family. From a cultural and social perspective fishing, boating and spending time on the ocean are a spiritual connection with the environment. Moreover, fishing provides a deep cultural opportunity for me to provide food for my family and friends - food security in every sense of the concept.

Wow, what an amazing post. Sounds like you hit the spot for the prawns. We went out for first day and caught 20. They were the best tasting prawns ever. Next day nothing. We're still learning. Enjoy your time with family

Caution !!
Great day you had.
Can some knowledgeable member say what this creature that came up with our prawn traps off Quadra.
"Caution !!" Very Venomous Watch those spines !!! and make sure you use a descender to release them ;)

Thanks for the information.
We also brought up large glass sponge chunks so my inclination is not to fish there again.
There are prawns everywhere.
