Good Merc or Suzuki dealers VI.. 9.9kicker

Im debating putting on a new 9.9 kicker with controls etc... on my Campion 21ft...

I was thinking of a Merc because the main engine is a Merc and sadly I do them to match.... I figure the smaller 4-strokes are all pretty close anyways in quality...

So a Merc or Suzuki would work...

Who are the best guys to deal with on the Island? Price wise and Id have them install it aswell...

I did the same thing....wanted a small kicker......after checking around I finally bought one from Alberni Marine Industrial on Kingsway in Port.
They don't take trades though......

RPM is a Merc Dealer ? I think...
This is a strange story... I was talking to a guy who was transporting a 22 Weldcraft that was sold at the boatshow.... it was rigger with a Merc 200 and 9.9 kicker... what was strange I thought was the fact that he brought it over on the ferry, ran it up to Tofino (I assume RPM) then back on the ferry and its going up to Terrace... a lot of ferry travel, gas and time... must be a good place Im thinking...

Peterman,save some cash phone SG power(victoria) 250)382-8291 www.sgpower.com/ Thought the same bought a merc kicker just like you described...wish i didn't...get a 9.9 yamaha high thrust with all bells & whistles(hyd. trim fwd. controls etc) saw a clearance/sale price recently...-4k total...if u want to budget buy a tohatsu (same mfg.? that makes the merc 9.9)4-$...Had a yami 9.9ht for years... had a loc. bozo merc dealer? install it incorrectly (fell off) after refit...insured replaced with merc still.. do your homework check around compare $ ...sammy

Suzuki 9.9 are great little motors , they had problems in the first few years with vibration , but that was fixed years ago. You will always find that SG will push Yamaha because they were unhappy that Suzuki handed out so many dealerships creating a lot of competition in the Victoria market. And oh yah they make a lot more money selling you a Yamaha! If you decide on a Suzuki try Gartside marine at the Oak Bay Marina. Good Suzuki prices and good service.
