Good level wind for river/ocean?

I might need to pick up a new one for use in Skeena watershed/north coast saltwater. I have no interest in the new "made in china" Abu reels as they are garbage compared with my old ones from Sweden. I watched a buddy burn out a brand new 10000 a couple years ago on ONE halibut...
Who is still making solid reels? Will need size comparable to Abu 7000.

Thanks in advance for the replies guys!

I've been very happy with my Shimano Tekota reels. They come in a wide variety of sizes, have a very smooth drag and the line counter option is nice for trolling.

Abu Garcia Record 60HC(or 61HC if you prefer left hand retrieve) are the only Abu's still made in Sweden, and they are
SWEET! Had one now for 3 years and it's one tough reel. Many scrapy steelhead, countless river run coho, and monster
chums caught with it,with no problem at all.The HC models (high capacity)hold 245 yds. of 15lb. test.Check them out.I highly recommend them.

Those look nice. They remind me of my Ambassadeur Morrum 6600.
Too bad they don't come in a size larger...need a record 70HC...
Are the Shimano Calcuttas still top quality these days? I see a few for sale out there...

Too bad, fireweed. They're a great reel. And yes,the Calcutta's are still a fine reel as well.Haven't owned one personally
but have heard they are a lot more complicated to tear apart and maintain. That's another reason I love my ABU.
They're just so easy take apart and put back together!

I would second Seadna on his choice of reels. I love working with Shimano equipment and the Tekota, TR or TLD series is a great choice for what your doing. Great value and will last a lifetime.
