It has been here for quite some time, some people have just failed to see it. On most rivers we are just fishing for the scraps now.

Yes. But of course we need to fucck it up worse than it is. (not just steelhead)
Anyone heard any reports of fish this year. I was thinking of heading over, if nothing other old times memories revisited. I first fished it in 1973 and spent 6 years living there..those were the daze.
If you head over to the Gold, take your time. You don’t have to get there until Aug. 16th.
River is closed Dec. 1st to Aug. 15th.
Regs have changed a tad since 1973!
For example:
”The December 1 to May 31 angling closure downstream of the Muchalat River has been extended to December 1 to August 15”
(And it is closed year-round above Muchalat)
