I'M NEW HERE.
I AM FROM GREECE, AND I HAVE A DAIWA TANACOM BULL 1000, I FISH DOWN IN 100M.I WOULD LIKE TO KHOW WHAT ARE THE BEST AND PROPER ACCESSORIES,AND THE IDEAL PROGRAM(IF THERE IS ANY) TO USE IN ORDER TO JIG.
PLEASE IF ANYONE KHOWS ANYTHING GIVE ME SONE INFO!

what are you jigging for.
salmon can use a buzz bomb
cod rubber jigs lots of movement with sent.
halibut mud raker or spreader bar with bait.

Firstly welcom. Where are you fishing that would be a good idea. Secondly there are no grouper here in BC, are you talking about fishing in Greece?

Well its not that simple..different fish and different techniques. I would suggest searching the forums and reading the older posts to get an idea as to where to go and what to use. Then you have to figure out what type of fish you are targeting ling cod, halibut, red snapper, salmon? as they all require different gear and somewhat different fishing techniques.

Hire a local guides to get an idea of where to go and ask them questions as they are the best source of info.
I know there is lots more but maybe this will get you going.

yes i am fishing here in greece in salted water.and i am interested on fishing large fishes down in 100m by jigging.i have a tanacom 1000 and it has 3 levels and a master. i khow what does each one, but i don't know how to combine them in order to get the best result.

Hi Mazman, I was wondering what kind of a reel a DAIWA TANACOM BULL 1000 is so I looked it up on line..... WOW, thats some reel you got there.... power assisted too. What size of boat are you fishing in? Where do you plan on fishing, this is a Sooke forum so if your fishing Sooke there will be no need to go lower then 250 to 300 ft at the most for bottom fish around here. I'm the last person to talk to about bottom fishing so my advice wouldn't do you much good as I'm learning the fine art of Hali fishing myself. I just got a larger boat that with any luck I will be able to try anchoring next season. Keep checking the past posts that people have written regarding bottom fishing. So much information and so little time but by reading how other people fish around here it can shorten your learning time so maybe you can find the next big barn door out there....
