get a free fishing trip-seriously

Hey guys, just wanted to pass on this info as it seems to be really popular this year, and you might know someone who would be into this.

Since the weather changed to colder conditions on the WCVI in 2007 we've had a pretty good fishery in Barkley in the spring for feeder chinooks and hali's. The prawning and crabbing has been pretty consistent and the folks that we've had out to Mills Landing so far this year have had their eyes opened as to what fishing can be like in March-April.

So Osama and I got to talking and we were trying to figure out a way to get more people to go fishing with us in Bamfield in the spring time, and we came up with this. We are giving people a free fishing trip in the spring when they book one in the summer with us at Mills Landing. Book a 2-3 day fishing trip from May-September and we'll give you 2 nights accommodation and a day of spring fishing in 2009 or 2010...on us.

We're hoping by doing this we'll show more people what the fishing can be like here in the spring, and get some more interest in coming out here for the early season. A lot of you guys know this already, but some of you may not or have buddies that may be into coming out to Bamfield for the early season. Osama's fishing everyday in the spring anyway, somebody might as well go with him!

So if you guys know anyone who may be interested in this pass it on. Check out our specials page at www.millslanding.com for more info.

Cheers, millsy

Interesting angle! I am sure you will get bites there - maybe including me sometimes! Just have to overcome the fear for swells....[xx(]

Hi Chris, thanks and keep in touch. A lot of the early spring stuff is in protected waters so not a lot of sick people in the spring. We'll dope you up in the summer so you won't even feel those rollers, or maybe you'll get out on a day where it's like pancake lake...those are usually pretty sweet days.

Osama just had three guys out yesterday and picked up a nice hali, some crabs and some prawns...all guys from Ontario, so they were happy. They're doing this deal and coming back in the fall, so if you like fishing after September 15th, that's an option too.

Cheers, Millsy
